Beneath the city sidewalks
While daylight floods the earth
Denizens of the sewer
Are preparing for the birth
Of a lifeless listless soul
Void or feelings sense or mind
They’re giving birth to a killer
Who preys upon mankind

Shelters arteries and veins

Now excreted through the bowels of time
It prowls the city streets
The sallow shadow of a man in search

Something’s not quite right

With a quick and sudden jerk
Another fades into the light
